Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
-Philippians 4:5

Continuing on with the Fruit of the Spirit Instagram Challenge, after faithfulness comes GENTLENESS! Gentleness is the second to last fruit of the Spirit mentioned in the Scripture, but still just as important as all the ones before it. A reminder to let your gentleness be evident to all is something that I could use every now and then – especially during conflict or 5 o’clock traffic. My favorite verse from this week is for Thursday:
“Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” (Colossians 3:12)

This week’s verses are all centered around the theme of gentleness, and like always, I encourage you to write them, speak them, draw them, etc., and keep them close to your heart. Being able to recall Scripture when you need it most is a skill that I am still striving towards – and a lot of times NOT succeeding in – but it’s something that will always make you stronger in your faith. If you’re interested in jumping into this challenge, follow along with Art and Soul and join us! There’s still two weeks left!
