Happy Friday, and welcome to the first installment of my newest series that I am so excited for: What I Would Have Worn! Using my creativity to style outfits for work and other activities is something I love to do, and after six months of working from home, I miss the opportunity to do that every day!
When I started sharing some of my daily outfits on Instagram stories in quarantine, I got much more positive feedback than I expected from those saying it inspired them to dress up, asking where items were from, or telling me it gave them ideas for outfits from their own closets, and I love that. So I decided to take it one step further and plan outfits for normal work days – What I Would Have Worn!
Each week I’ll be sharing five different work outfits and a few outfits for other activities like date night, book club, girls night, church, etc. to bring you ideas and inspiration for new pieces or how to style your current closet in new ways! I’ll also be sharing more specific outfit posts like my recent Old Navy try on or things like a roundup of wedding guest dress ideas!
You can shop each look by selecting the icons below. In the case of an item being older or out of stock, I’ve linked the same style in a new color/print or a similar option instead. (You’ll notice that I hold onto clothes for a loooong time, so in that case, I can’t link exact options.)
Tuesday: Girl’s Night
This shirt is from Old Navy, but is no longer available, so I linked two other fun, patterned options. My bag was a wedding gift from my sweet sister-in-law from Linny + Bee – she makes the most fun hand-painted bags and denim jackets!
Again, this jumpsuit is old from Target, but I found two other patterned jumpsuits in the same linen material!
Friday: Date Night
I’m embarrassed to even say how old this tank is – I think I’ve had it since high school, and it’s from Rue 21 (LOL). But my bag is not old! Also from Linny + Bee – I loved the first bag I got so much that I also ordered the cross-body for myself!
