March was the month of audiobooks!! The discovery of the great Las Vegas Clark County library card made binging audiobooks a dream for me, but alas, all good things must come to an end. I guess too many people discovered the wonderful selection available at this library and their lack of verifying Nevada residents, so my account was shut down. But it was fun while it lasted. I read so many good books this month, and some not so great ones, as well. But I ended the month with 15 books read and …

Books I’m Excited to (Maybe) Read in Q1
2023 is the year where I get back to reading physical books consistently - I can feel it. The last few years I fell into mostly listening to audiobooks and then binging like 2 books a day on vacations and there was no in between. I love picking up a physical book, but my addiction to my phone caused me to scroll endlessly rather than ever reading a page. So I have a list of books - most of them sitting on my shelves already just waiting to be picked up - that I can’t wait to jump into at the …
What I Read in February
Eight books down in February! I’m really loving making time to read physical books on the weekends - I can tend to overstuff my days with waaay too much, so having time to just sit down and read is a dream. I also feel like I totally upped my reading game after seeing that I could get a Las Vegas Clark County library card online - life-changing! They have so many more book options than my local library does, and I now have 30 holds for audiobooks to binge! As we head into March, my goals for …
My Top Ten Favorite Books of 2022
2022 was a year of incredible reads for me, and as I see everyone sharing their wrap-ups, I’m giddy to jump into 2023 with a huuuuge new TBR list! One of the things that I just truly love about reading is that it’s so subjective and all of us have a completely different experience and opinion about every book we read. I was talking with a friend this week about how sharing book recommendations is such a vulnerable and personal experience - what if they hate the book I adored and shared with …
Turning the Page on 2022
I published my first “Turning the Page…” blog post on January 1st, 2018. I was less than one year into blogging, rediscovering my love for reading, and totally winging it when it came to life itself. It is crazy just how much has changed in these few years. Here we are, ringing in 2023! 2022 was a year to remember in so many ways. We traveled with friends and family - to Colorado, Utah, the Bahamas, Florida, Nashville, and countless other weekend trips. We watched movies and ate good food and …
