New year, new reading goal… or maybe not. In 2018 I set the lofty (for me) goal of reading through 52 books within the year. Considering that I had never completed more than 32 books in 52 weeks, this was a big undertaking that I honestly wasn’t even sure I would complete. But it sounded good in my Powersheets, and like I talked about in last week’s post, I was all about setting goals based on what everyone else was doing then, so it made sense. 4 Important Lessons I’ve Learned From My Mom
Happy Thursday! Today’s post is a little bit different from what I normally share, but probably my favorite thing to write in a long time. Today is my mom’s 50th birthday, and while she and my dad are off traveling through Italy today, I’m sharing the four biggest lessons that my mom has taught me so far in my 24 years of life. My Word for 2019
I can feel the excitement of new beginnings and fresh starts. I see the rush that y’all are feeling, sharing your goals with your friends and followers, for the world to see and hold you accountable and cheer you on. I have already experienced the confusion and subsequent embarrassment at writing the incorrect date on important documents (multiple times). That means it’s finally 2019. We’ve been leading up to this date for weeks now, maybe even months, planning and dreaming, putting up and …
Turning the Page on 2018
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I rang in the new year last night with some of my oldest and dearest friends and new friends alike. We didn’t do anything fancy - snacks and game night and lots of laughs - and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My heart is full from this wonderful holiday season and the months leading up to it, and I have so much to be thankful for in this year and beyond. 2018… Where to begin? This year has been a complete whirlwind in all the best ways - new relationships, a new job, …
