Like everyone else on the planet right now, I’m still hooked on podcasts, and I can’t stop, won’t stop. It’s one of the easiest ways to consume and learn new information or hear stories that I wouldn’t normally be exposed to, and I can do it while driving to work or putting away my laundry! I’ve quickly burned through more true crime podcasts than I care to admit, plenty of marketing and social media shows, Christian women conversations, sermons, and everything in between. My friends and I share recommendations for new shows all the time, so I’m constantly adding new recs to my endless list of things to listen to, but I love it.
Today I’m sharing 5 podcasts I’m totally loving right now, as in, in the actual current moment. At the end of this post I’ll share a few “honorable mentions” of shows that I’ve burned through recently, but that aren’t currently releasing new episodes, or I haven’t listened to in a while. I have shared my favorite podcasts here before – 5 Podcasts I’m Loving Right Now (Pt. 1) – and one of these shows does make the list for a second time, but it’s for good reason! Today’s list is not all podcasts hosted by women, which makes it different from my first, and that’s okay! I’ve loved branching out and learning about all kinds of topics that are different from my day-to-day interests. So without further ado… 5 podcasts that I’m loving right now!
The Popcast with Knox and Jamie
Okay, I don’t know how I’ve gone this long without listening to this show, but YOU MUST LISTEN. If you’re even slightly interested in pop culture, watch movies, listen to music, etc. you will love this show. Knox and Jamie are actually hilarious – like I have found myself laughing out loud on the treadmill at Planet Fitness multiple times because of this show. They talk about pop culture in a way that makes me want to spend all my time watching movies, and I’ve never heard two people as addicted to IMDB as me. Subscribe to The Popcast for Bachelore/ette recaps, overviews of new tv and movie releases, deep dives into some of your favorite movies of all time, and so much more. And a bonus, they have another podcast called The Bible Binge where they recap Bible stories in a humorous way, and it’s the best, too.
Cultivate Your Life with Lara Casey
This show is ~relatively~ new, having launched in December of 2018. Y’all know I’m such a fan of my Powersheets goal planner and the Cultivate What Matters team. Their message and products are so encouraging and inspirational, and Lara’s podcast is absolutely no different. This show is unique in that she has never shared a legitimate sponsor – instead, she has short little conversations with her kids that are adorable and hilarious. She sings, she cries, she laughs, and she talks about hard things in her life, struggles in her marriage and faith, and how to actively choose an intentional and cultivated life that focuses on what matters. If you need a boost of encouragement, look no further.
The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey
I’ve been listening to the Happy Hour for almost two years now. Each week Jamie Ivey sits down with another woman and talks about the tough things in life, the happy things, and everything in between. They share what they’re loving and what they’re reading and what’s in their hearts in such a special way. I’ve loved being introduced to so many different women through the Happy Hour that I’ve gone on to follow along with, as well, like Marshawn Evans Daniels! I read Jamie’s book last summer – it was one of my top 10 favorite books of the year – and her husband also has a book out, as well! I actually got to meet them in June at an event in my hometown and they’re just as delightful in person. They’re funny, authentic, and love Jesus!
Girls Night with Stephanie May Wilson
I’m a broken record here, but I cannot say enough good things about this podcast! I came across Stephanie on Instagram last summer, and since then have recommended her podcast to numerous friends and bought her book and devotional journals, as well! Her message is inspiring and uplifting to young women, and she talks about normal, everyday topics that are relevant to our lives – how to decorate and host people in your home, how to land your dream job, how to navigate a breakup, how to help your loved ones through hard seasons – all through the lens of the gospel. I love her message, and I love the emphasis that she puts on having girlfriends that you can lean on through all seasons of life!
6 Figure Influencer with Allie Reeves
I found this show through someone I follow on Instagram – she was a guest and was sharing her episode in stories. Since then, I’ve loved keeping up with what Allie is putting out. She is so encouraging and motivating in what she shares, but in a no-nonsense way that tells you how it is. I especially love the two episodes that her and Kathryn have done together so far, but overall her show is great! If you’re into network marketing or just social media marketing in general, this may be the show for you.
As always, I want to continue to grow and learn and better myself, and podcasts are just one of the ways that I try to do that, so if you have any recommendations, send them my way! And check out my previous podcast recommendations HERE.
