Lately, I’ve had a lot of nights/weekends that are full of binge-watching on the couch. Sometimes it’s nice to have a break from the busy and just be, and we’ve taken full advantage of that by watching some great tv and movies – some old and some new! Below are four recent things we’ve streamed and loved: one movie and three series! Come and tell me what you’ve been watching lately – I can never have enough options!

Greenland
WOW what a movie! A giant meteor is hurtling towards earth and the government has chosen select families to be ushered into a safe zone. Chaos ensues as the meteor causes much more damage than anyone imagined, and the world is sent into turmoil. I’m a sucker for an apocalyptic/survival type movie or show (lol just look at the rest of the titles on this list), and this movie kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. We rented Greenland through Amazon Prime.
Survivor – Season 1
Season one of Survivor premiered in 2000, and I remember watching it with my parents on tv for the next few years after its release. Watching season one over again as an adult, it’s so interesting to me to see how the players pick up the lingo and the spirit of the game so quickly, and how they had no idea that what they were doing would be revolutionary to the world of reality television and the modern “game show”. I can’t wait to see more of the crazy moments that I remember from watching the first time around! You can currently stream all 40 seasons of Survivor on Hulu.
The Walking Dead – Seasons 1-3
I watched The Walking Dead when it first came out back in high school, and I just didn’t keep up with it after season four or so. Evan and I just restarted it from the beginning and we are hooked! It’s been so long that I don’t even remember most of what happens, and it’s definitely a show where no character is off limits from danger. It keeps you on your toes. You can currently stream all episodes of The Walking Dead on Netflix.
Yellowstone – Seasons 1-3
Holy moly – I could talk about this show all day long. I am heavily invested in the lives of the Dutton family. We binged the show over two weeks, and after we finished, I found myself thinking about the characters often. I cannot wait for season four to premiere this summer so I can figure out what the heck happened in that season three finale!! It is the dark, modern-day wild west. I haven’t found an easy and free place to stream this show yet – we had to purchase each season on Amazon Prime to stream it.
