Welcome back to the fourth installation of 5 Podcasts I’m Loving Right Now! It’s been a little bit over a year since I’ve written one of these podcast roundups, which means it’s been over a year of being solely on the audiobook train and completely neglecting all podcasts. But the month of April made me a podcast girly again, and so here we are!

This show feels like I’m just hanging out with my two besties chatting and having the time of my life. Jaci and Chelsey are hilarious as they talk about everything from pop culture to their life stuff to fashion, Tiktok, reader submission stories, etc. I love how every episode is sort of different and you never really know what to expect. What We Said makes my Tuesdays better, and I am now a proud vapid valley girl. (Thank you to my sister-in-law for making my brother a fan who then forcibly made me listen on a road trip. I am forever in your debt.)
Anne Bogel is such a delight. I have read her book Don’t Overthink It Twice now and followed her blog, Modern Mrs. Darcy for years, but never listened to her podcast until very recently. When I tell you it makes my heart happy, I truly mean it. Listening to people talk about their love for books, how they became readers, and what they’re reading and loving makes for the best listening for an avid reader myself.
Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast
If you’re on Tiktok, or just social media in general, you know Brooke and Connor – otherwise known as @LadyEfron and @Fibula. Their podcast is brand new, with only a dozen or so episodes right now, and I love it. I think they’re hilarious and their humor is just so spot on. After following them since the beginning of the pandemic, it’s really fun to be able to see/hear them talking about life and social media and everything in between outside of just their Tiktoks.
I have heard people talk about this show for years and really knew nothing about it. I followed Claudia (@girlwithnojob) on IG not even realizing she had anything to do with the show somehow, but I started listening in April, and I’m a fan. It’s definitely a little bit more intense than my usual listens (think language, etc that doesn’t show up in the rest of my recommendations), but I think they’re hilarious and the stories they cover are exactly the type of thing I want to listen to! It’s definitely a commitment since it’s around an hour Monday-Friday, but I think I’m all in!
True crime podcasts are >>> but a true crime podcast where each season focuses on a crime that took place in Arkansas?! I’m in. I’ve been listening to Hell & Gone for several years now, and season four is taking place currently, covering a murder in Little Rock in 2015. If you’re a true crime fan, this is an interesting listen.
Honorable Mentions & Old Favorites:
Jamie Ivey will always have my heart on The Happy Hour. She has such intentional conversations and the most interesting guests, and I always love hearing their stories. I loved listening to Walker Hayes on her podcast recently, and can’t wait to read his book now!
Always a fan of the Popcast because they make me LOL every single week. Knox, Jamie, and Erin are hysterical as they cover all things pop culture. They keep me up to date on tv and movies, what to stream, books to read, and everything in between.
